NPR photographer, interpreter killed in Afghanistan

An NPR photojournalist and interpreter were killed in Afghanistan on Sunday.

David Gilkey and Zabihullah Tamanna were traveling with an Afghan army unit on assignment for NPR.

An Afghan National Army soldier driving the Humvee the three were traveling in also was killed when the vehicle was hit by rocket propelled grenades in an apparent ambush.
