The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has given approval to Novo Nordisk for its Wegovy obesity drug to be used to treat serious liver disease.
The company got the OK for the treatment of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis in adults with moderate to advanced liver fibrosis.
Novo Nordisk's shares were up nearly 5% on the news.
