Novo Nordisk shares plunge on Alzheimer’s drug trial results

Novo Nordisk's shares fell as much as 9% after an Alzheimer’s drug trial failed to hit its key target.

The trial was designed to test whether semaglutide, the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy, would slow progression for Alzheimer’s disease.

The share dip put the company's stock at a four-year low.
