Novo Nordisk is cutting direct-to-consumer prices for weight loss drug Wegovy and diabetes counterpart Ozempic, CNBC reports.
The price of the drugs is dropping to $349 per month from $499 per month for existing cash-paying patients. The highest dose of Ozempic will remain at $499 per month.
Novo Nordisk also is launching a temporary introductory offer for the drugs. Patients can receive the two lowest doses of Wegovy and Ozempic for $199 per month for the first two months of treatment.
