Northside Dental Clinic changes ownership

Posted online
Springfield dentist Dr. Derek Kaelin purchased the 35-year-old Northside Dental Clinic, 2105 W. Kearney St., and its satellite location, James River Dental Center, 4205 S. Nature Center Way, from Dr. Houston Ker.

The sale of the two clinics closed in February. Following the purchase, James River Dental Center's name was shortened to James River Dental, according to a news release.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ker remains on staff and continues to see patients.

"I look forward to continuing to provide the same affordable, quality dental care that Dr. Ker has provided to his patients through the years," Kaelin said in the release.

Kaelin - a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Missouri Dental Association and the Greater Springfield Dental Society - has practiced dentistry in Springfield since 2003. He was formerly a partner at Parkcrest Dental Group, 540 W. Lasalle St.

Northside Dental Clinic provides general family dentistry services. James River Dental opened in 1996.[[In-content Ad]]
