General contractor Walton Construction Co. LLC is adding 24,000 square feet to North Point Church’s existing facility, which Walton completed in 2005. The project also comprises a 22,000-square-foot remodel. Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is the architect. The engineers are Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical; Anderson Engineering Inc., civil; and Meridian Structural Works Inc., structural. Empire Bank is the lender for the approximately $3.26 million project. The addition comprises a 900-seat sanctuary, a new entrance and lobby, and an administrative wing. The structure is a pre-engineered metal building system with a large glass entrance leading into the lobby. Renovations will convert adult classroom space into additional room for children and youth, and the existing sanctuary will be converted into youth worship space. Completion is slated for December.
