North American box office sinks to two-decade low

The coronavirus is having a large impact on the North American box office, pushing ticket sales to a two-decade low.

Over the weekend, box office sales came to $53.5 million. That's smaller than the weekends after the 9/11 attacks in 2001.

New York and Los Angeles have ordered theaters to close, and chains such as AMC are capping the amount of seats available.
