Norfolk Southern reaches $600M settlement in derailment lawsuit

Norfolk Southern has reached a $600 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit filed over the derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.

The company does not admit any wrongdoing or liability in the settlement.

Last year, 38 train cars derailed near the Pennsylvania state line. The incident forced 2,000 of East Palestine's 4,900 residents to evacuate.
