Nordstrom has reached a deal to be taken private by its founding family and a Mexican retail business.
The deal with the Nordstrom family and El Puerto de Liverpool values Nordstrom at $6.25 billion.
Shareholders are slated to receive $24.25 in cash for each share of Nordstrom common stock. A special dividend also is planned when the transaction closes.
