Nobel Prize in economics awarded to trio

The Nobel Prize in economics was awarded to a trio for their work to alleviate global poverty.

Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo and Michael Kremer have led work to benefit more than 5 million Indian children.

Duflo, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is the youngest person and second woman to win the prize, according to CNN Business.
