Interlinc.net has advertised and sold Internet service to southwest Missouri since at least November 2002, according to a news release from Nixon’s office.
According to documents on file with the Missori Secretary of State’s Office, the president of Eminent Network Technologies is Richard Rabah. The company’s last annual report, filed in August 2007, listed the company’s headquarters address as 607 State Highway 65, Ste. 5, in Branson.
Nixon’s office has received more than two dozen consumer complaints alleging the company misrepresented that their payments would be refunded when Internet access went down for extended periods. The complaints say the company failed to refund the money.
Also according to complaints, Interlinc.net allegedly charged at least one customer’s credit card for services after the customer cancelled the service.
A message was left at the company for Rabah, who did not return the call by press time.
The lawsuit requests a court injunction to keep the company from future violations of state consumer laws and an order for the defendant to pay consumer restitution and appropriate civil penalties.
Interlinc.net operates a customer service center at 3000 Green Mountain Drive, Ste. 107, according to www.inter-linc.net.[[In-content Ad]]
