Susie Knust, of Marshfield, has been appointed by Gov. Jay Nixon as northern commissioner of Webster County. The position opened in November after the resignation of Commissioner Lyndall Fraker, who was elected in that same month as a representative for Missouri's 145th district.
Knust, a Democrat, owns and manages Marshfield-based Birch Creek Publishing LLC and is co-owner of registered cattle business Knust Shorthorns LLC, also of Marshfield. She is a former banker, high school teacher and college English instructor and currently serves on the Marshfield R-I School Board and as a member of the Webster County Fair Board, according to a news release from the governor's office.
“With her business experience and community involvement, she will ably serve the people of this county," Nixon said in the release.[[In-content Ad]]
