Gov. Jay Nixon joined University of Missouri leaders late last week to cut the ribbon on the newly renovated Lafferre Hall at the University of Missouri-Columbia’s College of Engineering.
Higher education quality and affordability have been a priority of Nixon's administration - Missouri has maintained its rank as the No. 1 state in the nation for holding down tuition increases.
Lafferre Hall now includes new classroom and lab space to keep up with enrollment growth and prepare more Missourians for jobs in the science, technology, engineering and math fields.
