Nixon brings lawmakers together to discuss Boeing contract

Lawmakers remained skeptical, but few outright rejected Gov. Jay Nixon’s proposal for up to $150 million in tax incentives for Boeing on the first day of the legislature’s special session, the News-Leader reports.

Boeing is seeking requests for proposal for its 777x airliner in several states. The proposals are due Dec. 10.

Sen. Bob Dixon, R-Springfield, said the legislators are still fact finding and likely would receive more information today.
