Nixa Government Plaza Expansion

Shelenhamer Construction LLC is the general contractor for additions to the city of Nixa’s government plaza. Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is the architect. Engineers are Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins, mechanical; and Shaffer & Hines, civil. Interior design is by Terri West of Interior Planning Consultants Inc. The approximately $3.9 million project includes a 15,000-square-foot expansion of City Hall.

The new space will house Nixa City Council chambers, record storage and inspections personnel. Also included in the project are renovations of the existing City Hall into a courts department and an expansion and renovation of the police station, including the addition of a meeting room, another holding cell and a larger squad room.

Completion is slated for July.
