Nissan's president to serve as Mitsubishi chairman

Nissan Motor Co. President Carlos Ghosn is set to serve as chairman of scandal-hit Mitsubishi Motors, sources familiar with the matter told Nikkei Asian Review.

Osamu Masuko, Mitsubishi's chairman and president, is being asked to stay on as president.

Nissan plans to purchase a 34 percent stake in Mitsubishi by the end of the month. The latter is struggling in the aftermath of a false mileage data scandal.
