Nissan cuts profit forecast in first earnings report since ousting Ghosn

Nissan slashed its profit forecast for its fiscal year in its first earning report since former Chairman Carlos Ghosn was ousted.

The company now expects earnings of $3.7 billion for the fiscal year ending in March, a nearly 20 percent drop from earlier projections.

Nissan is forecasting vehicle sales of 5.6 million worldwide, down from a previous prediction of 5.9 million.
