Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn is stepping down from that role.
Ghosn will stay on as chairman when the management change occurs April 1. He indicated as far back as 2012 he only planned to stay on as CEO for five more years.
He'll be succeeded by Nissan's co-CEO Hiroto Saikawa.
