Nintendo Co. topped quarterly profit estimates on holiday demand for "Pokemon" and "Super Smash Bros." games.
Operating profits came to 158.6 billion yen, or $1.5 billion. Analysts expected 147 billion yen.
For its fiscal year through March, Nintendo is forecasting 17 million Switch shipments. That's below a prior outlook of 20 million console units.
