Ahead of the holiday season, Nintendo raised its global forecast to 14 million Switch console units from 10 million.
In the United States, the company has sold 2.6 million units since March, according to Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.
Sales of the company's new game “Super Mario Odyssey" are fueling holiday demand for the Switch. The game has sold over 1.1 million U.S. copies, Fils-Aime said.
