Nike announced it will no longer directly sell its sneakers and apparel on Amazon.
The pilot program began in 2017. It allowed Nike to act as a wholesaler to Amazon.
Sources familiar with the matter said Amazon has been preparing for the Nike exit by recruiting third-party sellers with Nike products.
