The NFL yesterday pledged to halt a practice called "race-norming" to determine payouts in concussion cases.
The Associated Press reports the practice assumes Black players start out with lower cognitive function than their white peers.
The decision came after a pair of Black players filed a civil rights lawsuit and a group of NFL families dropped 50,000 petitions at a federal courthouse.
