Banking and Finance
Ryan Allison joined Ollis/Akers/Arney as an employee benefits adviser. He is responsible for the design and implementation of employee benefit programs to help clients attract and retain employees. Allison is a graduate of Evangel University and holds licenses in life, health and accident insurance in Missouri. He most recently was employed at Mercy.

Education
Drury University appointed Clifton Petty as dean of the Breech School of Business. Petty is a professor of management and has worked for Drury since 1993; he began serving as interim dean in the spring of 2019. Petty has an MBA from Baylor University and a doctorate in management and organizational behavior from the University of Houston.

Drury University recognized second-year students Brandon Alvarez, Molly Boxrud, Marek Clough, J. Collado, Matthew Colling, Megan Day, Allie Gipson, Catherine Henson, Allison Hooper, Sydney Horton, Isabelle Jaynes, Samantha Lohman, Ashley McCulloch, Lauren McQuerter, Madeline Michaliszyn, Cheyanne Mohler, Jacob Motley, Emily Oliver, Cortney Porter, Ava Scott, Madison Stevens, Kay Wacasey, Rianna Wenzel and Meredith Wilke as Judge Warren White Scholars. The recognition was given to the students who held the highest first-year GPA, and each individual was awarded a $215 scholarship.

Health Care
Cox HealthPlans was awarded a three-year accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. The accreditation recognizes Cox HealthPlans for meeting rigorous standards, including managed care principles and special programs for dental and behavioral health.

Citizens Memorial Hospital brought on new physicians: Drs. Ivan Arismendi Ortiz, Kayla Kittle and Michael Loggan. Ortiz specializes in internal medicine and recently worked with El Dorado Springs Medical Center and Walk-In Clinic; he is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Kittle specializes in family medicine and obstetrics, recently with Bolivar Family Care Center. Loggan is a pulmonologist, recently with CMH Pulmonology Clinic in Bolivar.

Hospitality
BRP Architects was recognized by Hotel Management Magazine as a 2020 top design firm, one of 58 design and architecture firms listed by the magazine for hotel and lodging work. The hotel work can include projects ranging from economy to midscale, upper-midscale, upscale, upper-upscale and luxury.

Insurance
Randy Smart, owner of Smart Insurance Agency, was sworn in as the 2020-21 president of the Missouri Association of Insurance Agents during a virtual ceremony held in Jefferson City. MAIA is the largest association of independent insurance agents in Missouri. Smart’s insurance agency was founded by his parents in 1958 and he joined the agency after his graduation from Missouri State University.

Nonprofit
United Way of the Ozarks announced its 2020 campaign cabinet, which will generate community support during its annual fundraising campaign. The cabinet comprises Jena Holtberg-Benge, co-chair, Mark Walker, co-chair, Jim Anderson, Kevin Ausburn, Greg Beck, Tim Bellanti, David Cook, Gary Gibson, Jay Guffey, Britton Jobe, Stephen Kleinsmith, Samuel Knox, Candy Letterman, Brian McDonough, Morey Mechlin, Charlie O’Reilly, Todd Parnell, Gary Schafer, Cindy Stephens, Joe Turner, Lelia Voss and Paul Williams.
