Advanced Plan Designs LLC hired Whitney Griffin as a senior plan consultant. Griffin, who holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Missouri State University, has three years of administration experience and one year of auditing experience.

Metropolitan National Bank named 12 professionals to serve on its newly formed Next Professional Advisory Board to consult on technology, marketing and business development. Serving two-year terms are Brad Erwin of Paragon Architecture, Brandon Brummett of Tamko Building Products, Brandon Plank of Lamar Country Club, Bryan Simpson of Five Pound Apparel LLC, Chuck Replogle of Replogle & Berkstresser LLC, David Ross of Morelock-Ross Builders Inc., Jeff Gerken of Gerken & Associates Inc., Leah Hamilton of Drury University, Mark Foglesong of D.D. Hamilton Title Co., Nicole Kimbrough of Springfield Public Schools, Paul Sundy of English Management and Rob Griffith of Ozarks Technical Community College.

Education
Rebecca LaChance of Accenture in Bolivar and Brooke Dudley and Weston Herrington of Jack Henry & Associates Inc. were elected to the 2014 Alumni Advisory Board for Southwest Baptist University’s computer and information sciences department.

Drury honored Kim Hamm, Eunice Wallar and Nathan Pettyjohn with 2014 Distinguished Alumni Awards. Hamm, a partner with BKD LLP, was recognized for career achievement, and Wallar, owner of Waverly House, was honored for community service. Pettyjohn, founder and CEO of Aisle411, received the Young Alumnus Award.

Evangel University named five alumni into its communication department’s inaugural Communication Wall of Fame: Brandon Beck, class of 1996, KY3 meteorologist; Norma Champion, a 1971 Central Bible College gradate, a former state senator and host of KY3’s Children’s Hour program; Steve Grant, class of ’76, KY3 anchor for nearly 40 years;  Kay Logsdon, class of ’77, vice president and editor-in-chief of The Food Channel; and Shirley Shedd, class of ’62, a longtime English and journalism teacher at CBC and Evangel.[[In-content Ad]]
