Banking
Jeff Hays joined Legacy Bank and Trust as senior vice president and director of commercial real estate lending. He previously was CRE team leader for Commerce Bank and has 20 years of experience.

Springfield First Community Bank added three employees: Meridith Conboy as chief credit officer and senior vice president, Missey Hayward as vice president-Community Reinvestment Act/fair lending officer and Jordan Pierce as assistant banking center manager. Conboy has 25 years of banking experience, Hayward has 22 years and Pierce three years of experience.

Guaranty Bank promoted Lucas Jenkins to information technology applications manager at the bank’s operations center. He joined Guaranty Bank in 2014 as a network/systems analyst and was promoted to systems engineer in 2016. Jenkins has 10 years of IT experience and holds a bachelor’s in political science from Drury University.

Community
The Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce presented four community awards. Vino Cellars at the Lake, owned by Steph and Matt Bekebrede, was named Business of the Year recognizing quality customer service and products. Layne Morrill, a Table Rock Lake-area businessperson, was given the Trailblazer Award for business and community leadership. Pam Burnett, director of the Stone County Health Department, received the Community Service Award for her work with county and state emergency management preparedness for COVID-19. The Guardian Award, given to first responders, went to Stone County Deputy Sheriff Brett Stump for providing school resource officers additional equipment.

Government
U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Missouri, was unanimously reelected as chair of the U.S. Senate Republican Policy Committee. He was elected in 2019 as the committee’s 16th chair. Blunt is the fourth-ranking member of Republican leadership in the Senate.

The Missouri chapter of the American Planning Association awarded the city of Marshfield the 2020 Outstanding Plan Award. The Marshfield Community Growth Plan was recognized for focusing on residential growth, economic opportunities and infrastructure improvements.

Health Care
University of Missouri School of Medicine alumnus Dr. David James Haustein joined the University of Missouri-Springfield Clinical Campus faculty as associate dean. He also performs clinical work. Haustein formerly worked as associate clinical professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation in the University of Louisville School of Medicine’s Department of Neurological Surgery. He holds a bachelor’s in chemistry from Harding University, an M.D. from University of Missouri School of Medicine and an MBA from Bellarmine University in Louisville.

Loehr Health Center hired Drs. Jordan Abercrombie, Ryan Cleous and James Crawford. The company now has 10 chiropractors. Cleous and Crawford work at Loehr Health’s clinic in Farmers Park, and Abercrombie treats patients in the Weaubleau office.

Human Resources
BKD LLP hired Wendy Duff as human resources manager over the offices in Springfield, Branson and Joplin. She previously worked as the talent development strategist for Amprod Holdings LLC. Duff holds a bachelor’s in organizational management from Ashford University and a master’s in adult education and training from University of Phoenix.

Law
The Law Office of Adam Woody was selected to the 2021 Best Law Firms list by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. Adam Woody has been recognized by Best Lawyers for three consecutive years.
