Arvest Bank hired Matt Bower as commercial loan manager. He has 14 years of banking experience and holds bachelor’s degrees in leadership studies and business administration from Drury University.

Arvest promoted mortgage loan assistants Linda Grindle and Kelsey Grubaugh to mortgage lenders. Grindle, who works in the Branson market, has six years of experience as a service specialist and a teller with Bank of America. Grubaugh holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Missouri State University.

Jessica Harper was promoted to bank officer for BancorpSouth’s Missouri division. She has worked for the bank since 2007, most recently in a sales, marketing and compliance position.

BKD Corporate Finance LLC promoted Chelsea Davidson to senior financial analyst and Wyatt Jenkins to managing financial analyst. Davidson has worked at the firm since 2011 and Jenkins since 2010.

Steve Moody joined First Home Bank as vice president and bank manager of the firm’s Mountain Grove banking center. Moody has 11 years of experience.

BluCurrent Credit Union promoted assistant branch manager Priscilla Simon to manager of its Seminole Street branch. Simon joined the credit union in 2010.

Education
Nixa Public Schools named Annie Zimmerman varsity volleyball coach. Zimmerman, who succeeds Greg Walker after he stepped down, worked as head coach at Parkview High School the past three years.

Springfield Public Schools named Andy Johnston the 2014 Teacher of the Year. Johnston, who teaches orchestra at Glendale High School, has worked for the district since 1997.

Carolyn O’Kelley joined Southwest Baptist University as director of human resources. She has 15 years of human resources experience and most recently worked at BKD LLP as benefits coordinator and on the human resources leadership team.

The Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants awarded two scholarships under its Lead and Enhance the Accounting Profession program to SBU students Jenna Durnell, sophomore accounting and information assurance major, and Tori Jones, sophomore accounting major.

Insurance
Barker-Phillips-Jackson Inc. hired Rob Dickerson as an account executive and Christy Townsend as a client services associate. Dickerson and Townsend have combined industry experience of 50 years and have worked together since 1994 when Dickerson purchased Insurors of the Ozarks. Most recently, Dickerson and Townsend both worked at S&S Insurance in Ozark.

Sales
Radiophone Engineering hired Evan Allen as an account executive. Allen worked previously for three years at Total Highspeed LLC as a sales and service manager. He holds a bachelor’s in sales management from MSU.

Dazzee Integrations promoted John Martinez to director of sales and marketing and hired Marcie Bel as an executive assistant. Martinez worked previously as director of business development. Bel moved from Shepard of the Hills Entertainment Group.

Sports
The Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Diamond Award went to Jim Winn of Clever, Bruce Long and Brad Beattie of Nixa, Charley Slavens and Scott Loveland of Springfield, and Mike Tennant of Rogersville. The honor recognizes significant contributions to the high school, collegiate, amateur or professional levels of baseball or softball.[[In-content Ad]]
