Architecture
Nick Banner joined Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. as an intern architect. With a master’s in architecture from Drury University, Banner is pursuing his state license in the field.

Banking and Finance
Great Southern Bank hired Rob Bohannon as business banking officer for the Springfield market. With eight years of experience, Bohannon is responsible for developing business relationships and is a primary point of contact for business customers.

Ryan Cosby was promoted to commercial loan officer at Empire Bank. Cosby, who holds a bachelor’s in finance from Missouri State University, has six years of banking and lending experience.

Education
The Springfield Board of Education elected new officers: Denise Fredrick, president; Andy Hosmer, vice president; Steve Chodes, treasurer; and Kathy Looten, secretary. Prior to the election, Frederick was sworn in to serve her second three-year term on the board, and Tim Rosenbury was sworn in for his first three-year term.

East Elementary in Ozark was named a Gold Star School by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. One of eight public schools recognized statewide, East Elementary recorded high academic achievement while serving a high proportion of disadvantaged students.

Engineering
Crawford, Murphy & Tilly Inc. was named 2014 Design Firm of the Year by ENR Midwest, an engineering publication covering Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin. CMT was selected based on survey results, high-profile projects and 22 percent revenue growth.

Insurance
PJC Insurance Agency LLC was named to the 2014 Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Co. President’s Club for ranking among the company’s top 50 agencies and 12 farm mutual companies. President’s Club members provide Grinnell Mutual insight on key insurance and business issues.

Manufacturing
Springfield Brewing Co.’s Mayhem Marzen earned a gold medal from the World Beer Cup held in Denver. SBC’s first entry in the international competition, the award in the German Style Marzen category was among 253 medals given to some 1,400 brewery participants.

Mark Knaack joined Tuthill Vaccuum & Blower Systems as an accounting manager responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting,

Nonprofit
The Arc of the Ozarks Board of Directors elected new officers: Chairman Joe Johnson of Lathrop & Gage LLP; Vice Chairwoman Laura Murney of CoxHealth; Secretary Rebecca Woodard of Missouri State University; Treasurer Warren Davis of Warren Davis Properties; and Past Chairwoman Carolyn Newport, the Arc founder. Eric Lampe, a CPA at The Whitlock Co., also joined the board.

Ozarks Entertainment LLC Sales Manager Monica Henderson bought into the company as partner. Henderson also has joined Baron Financial Group, bringing experience as a paralegal from Courtney Law Firm.

Real Estate
Brett Heintz joined Murney Associates, Realtors as vice president of retail systems. Heintz recently retired from an executive position after 32 years with O’Reilly Automotive Inc.

Technology
ISG Technology in Springfield hired sales professionals Leslie Willcockson and Ryan Walker. An account executive, Willcockson has 11 years of experience selling customized voice and data services. Walker, a senior account representative, has 10 years of experience selling information technology solutions, including data virtualization and infrastructure.
