Education Ozarks Technical Community College English instructor Jennifer Dunkel received the Gladys R. Shaw Outstanding Service to Developmental Education Students Award from the National Association for Developmental Education. A developmental studies educator and OTC’s lead English instructor of developmental writing since 2006, Dunkel also was selected for the McGraw Hill scholarship to attend the Kellogg Institute.
Willard Public Schools hired Garrett Prevo as principal of the Orchard Hills Elementary School for the 2015-16 school year. Prevo has seven years of experience as assistant principal at Republic High School.

Government Former Republican State Rep. Kevin Elmer, of Nixa, was elected to the Missouri Club For Growth Board of Directors. Elmer is the seventh member of the club’s board, a political action committee backed by St. Louis businessman Rex Sinquefield. Elmer, an attorney, served two terms in the House after his 2010 election.
Health Dr. Troy Morrison, an orthopedic surgeon with CMH Parkview Orthopaedic Clinic in Bolivar, earned board certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Morrison joined Citizens Memorial Healthcare in August 2012.
Dr. Garrett Alderfer, a CMH hospitalist, earned board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Alderfer joined the CMH medical staff in August.
Cox Medical Center Branson added Dr. Foram Shah to its hospitalist team. Shah completed her residency in family medicine at Northeast Iowa Medical Education Foundation in 2012. She’s worked three years as a family physician at Caverna Memorial Hospital’s Munfordville Rural Health Clinic in Kentucky.
Dr. Brett Hronek joined Cox Medical Center Branson. Specializing in allergy and immunology, Hronek has been seeing patients in Springfield since the fall and now splits his time between the two cities. His medical education is from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.
Physician assistant Deborah Kluthe joined Ozarks Community Hospital’s Evergreen Clinic. With 20 years of experience and a specialty in pain management, Kluthe previously worked as a physician assistant for the Missouri Rehabilitation Center in Mount Vernon.
