Banking
Arvest Bank hired Tim Matthews as a commercial banker and Kristin Mock as marketing specialist.
With 12 years of banking experience, Matthews works at the 730 N. National Ave. branch. Mock, who previously worked in marketing with Riot Games and O’Reilly Automotive, handles marketing, advertising and public relations for all of Arvest’s Springfield-area banks.
Ozark Bank promoted commercial lender Kyle Purdome to senior vice president. He has 18 years of banking experience and joined Ozark Bank in 2011.
Education
Nixa Public Schools was selected as an Innovative District for 2017 by the International Center for Leadership in Education. School officials will share best practices, along with 11 other selected districts, at the 25th annual Model Schools Conference in June in Nashville, Tennessee.
College of the Ozarks ranked seventh in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s 25 Most-Selective 4-Year Colleges, within private institutions, based on fall 2014 data. Stanford and Harvard universities were ranked Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.
Springfield Public Schools hired Ryan Savage as principal of Pershing K-8 School, Lance Gallamore as assistant principal of Pipkin Middle School and Paul Hansen as head football coach for Parkview High School beginning in the 2017-18 school year. Savage joined SPS in mid-2010 and has served as Jarrett Middle School assistant principal since 2015. Gallamore has worked as an emotional and behavior support teacher at Pershing Middle School and head track coach for seventh grade boys. Hansen currently is an assistant coach, offense coordinator and instructor at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas.
Health Care CoxHealth and technology solution partner Intelligent Retinal Imaging Systems were recognized in Microsoft Corp.’s 2017 Health Innovation Awards. With IRIS’ retinal telemedicine platform, CoxHealth delivered diabetic retinal exams to patients with diabetes at the primary point of care, closing a sizable care gap.
Law
Five attorneys from Lathrop & Gage’s Springfield office were recognized as 2016 Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers and two Springfield attorneys were named Rising Stars. The Super Lawyers are Frank Evans, business litigation; Joseph Johnson, intellectual property; Dan Nelson, creditor debtor rights; Lee Poppen, construction litigation; and Randell Wallace, real estate. The Rising Stars are Joshua Christensen, business litigation, and James Meadows, appellate.
