Bush, Ramlow & Shore PC hired Jessica Rattles as a staff accountant, Kristin Marquess as an audit team/financial institution specialist, Terri Schubert in collections, and Alex Fraizer and Violet Li as interns.

Education
The Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Evangel University received a $550,000 grant from the Kern Family Foundation in Waukesha, Wis. The funds create an associate in art to master’s of divinity pastoral degree program that can be completed in five years.

Belva Prather, a professor of music at Missouri State University, was inducted into the Missouri Music Educators Association Hall of Fame at the 76th-annual MMEA conference in Osage Beach. Employed at MSU since 1986, Prather also works as the school’s associate director of bands, as well as director of the University Wind Ensemble, University Wind Symphony and University Concert Band, and she teaches graduate courses in wind band conducting.

Global University’s Doctor of Ministry program was accredited by the Distance Education Training Council. The program also is accredited regionally through the Higher Learning Commission.

Government
Gov. Jay Nixon appointed David Richards to the State Historical Records Advisory Board for a term ending Nov. 1, 2016. Richards serves as head of special collections and archives and as an associate professor for library sciences at the Duane G. Meyer Library of MSU.

Health Care
Ozarks Community Hospital added three providers: Dr. James Neal, who specializes in psychiatry; Dr. Nitin Patel, who specializes in pediatric neurology; and family nurse practitioner Angela Standefer. With the addition of Patel, OCH now offers pediatric neurology services.

OCH Drs. Don Maples, Kevin Watt and Randall Halley earned board certification in hospice and palliative medicine.

Tara Ferguson joined Integrity Home Care as corporate director of business development. She has 15 years of health care industry experience and a master’s in human development from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Insurance
Gina Fisher was hired as a personal insurance customer service representative for Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance. Fisher attended College of the Ozarks and has 19 years of insurance industry experience.

Nonprofit
Jack Burk retired from the Workforce Investment Board’s chairman seat, after serving the board since June 2008. Burk, the director of human resources and safety for Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co., spent 30 years working for Fasco Industries in Ozark.

Champions Committed to Kids added board members Casey Hunt, associate athletic director at Missouri State University, and Ryan Sivill, an accounting manager at BKD. Sivill was elected treasurer of the executive committee, along with President Todd Edwards of Lloyds Cleaners, Vice President Dan Scott of Cascade Financial Management and Secretary Eric Olson of Springfield Business Journal.
