Accounting KPM CPAs hired staff accountants Gretchen Russell, Brandon Talty, Jeff Barr and Jason Moses. Russell, who holds a bachelor’s in accounting from Missouri State University, has eight years of related experience. Barr earned a bachelor’s in accounting and a master’s in finance from MSU. Talty, who worked previously as a staff accountant with O’Reilly Automotive, holds a bachelor’s in accounting and finance from Drury University. Moses, who earned his bachelor’s in accounting from MSU, worked previously at Sportsman Distribution Co.
Architecture Keystone Building and Design of Nixa won Best of Houzz by Houzz, an online platform for home remodeling and design. The award is given in two categories: customer satisfaction and design and is voted on by users of the Houzz website.
Banking Sean Calhoun joined First Community Bank of the Ozarks as a lender and assistant vice president. He holds degrees in agribusiness and business administration from College of the Ozarks. At the bank’s Forsyth branch, Calhoun works in agriculture and commercial lending and loan development.
Health Care The Manor at Elfindale was rated deficiency-free for the second straight year by the Missouri Department of Health and Human Services. The unannounced survey is completed every year by a multidisciplinary team reviewing nearly 200 quality, safety and performance areas.
Dr. Tamara Fusco was named medical director of the Family Resource Center and Lactation Services at Mercy Hospital Springfield, and she was inducted as a fellow into the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine.
Mercy Clinic Hospitalists added Drs. Toni Almond, Kiran Bandaru and Jessica Ridgley. Almond received her medical degree from the University of Missouri; Bandaru received his medical education from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India; and Ridgley received her medical education from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
Dr. Susie Sharp, a graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, joined the Mercy Clinic at Paul Mueller Co.
Dr. Sheri Bethmann joined Mercy Clinic Family Medicine. Bethmann is a graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Brandi Upton joined Mercy Clinic Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. Upton received her medical education at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport.
Dr. Jennifer McNay was named department chairwoman for Mercy Adult Primary Care, and Dr. John Burson was named department chairman for Mercy Pediatric Primary Care. McNay joined Mercy in 1994 and practices at Mercy Clinic Internal Medicine-Smith Glynn Callaway. Burson began working for Mercy Clinic Pediatrics-Whiteside in 1999.
Jim Barber joined Mercy as regional vice president of philanthropy. Barber brings 30 years of philanthropy experience, most recently serving as president of Via Christi Foundation at Via Christi Health in Wichita, Kan.
All Animal Mobile Veterinary Service owner David Prigel was installed as president of the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, along with Secretary and Treasurer Shelia Taylor, an instructor of biology at Ozarks Technical Community College.
Dr. Philip Brown, a veterinarian at The Animal Care Center, attended the Missouri Academy of Veterinary Practice for professional education through the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.
Charity Elmer was named senior vice president of CoxHealth, along with her general counsel responsibilities. Elmer, who has a bachelor’s in criminology from Drury University and a law degree from the University of Arkansas, joined CoxHealth in 2004.
Insurance Michael Kyle was appointed an agent for American Family Insurance Group and opened an office in Seymour. He completed American Family’s Agent-in-Training program and holds a bachelor’s from MSU.
Manufacturing Annie Anderson, customer service manager at Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr Pepper Bottling Co., was awarded Employee of the Year by the Missouri Restaurant Association for her service to the company. Anderson also was named an MRA 2013 Salesperson of the Year, along with three others.
Jeff Kerns joined Tuthill Vacuum & Blower Systems as production manager on the second shift. With 12 years of experience as a supervisor and 14 years in operations, Kerns holds a bachelor’s in professional aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Jeff Phillips joined Tuthill as a line of product leader responsible for the Truck Blowers and Qx Blowers product lines. A production supervisor the last two years at EFCO Corp., Phillips holds a bachelor’s in industrial management and a master’s in project management from MSU.
Window manufacturer EFCO Corp. in Monett received accreditation for its first-responder training program from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services. The program prepares employees for potential workplace emergencies.
