Guaranty Bank promoted Lucas Jenkins to senior systems engineer in the bank’s information resources department. Jenkins, who has six years of information technology experience and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Drury University, joined Guaranty Bank in 2014 as a network-systems analyst.

Education
Kelly Educational Staffing selected area substitute teacher Matthew Dresslaer as the 2016 Missouri Substitute Teacher of the Year, the staffing agency’s highest honor.

Missouri State University hired Ronald Del Vecchio as director of the Darr School of Agriculture to succeed Anson Elliott effective Aug. 1. Del Vecchio most recently worked for seven years at the University of Minnesota-Crookston as a professor and head of the agriculture and natural resources department. He holds a doctorate and master’s in animal science from Texas A&M University.
 
Health Care
Truven Health Analytics named Mercy among the top 15 health systems in the country and one of the top five in the large category with annual operating health systems expenses over $1.75 billion. The analysis measured 338 health systems and 2,912 hospitals and recognized organizations that demonstrated higher patient satisfaction, shorter hospital stays, lower readmission rates and fewer patient complications after care.  

Law
Legal Services of Southern Missouri selected Branson attorney Sherri Harris to receive the Philip S. Huffman Memorial Award, which recognizes a private attorney’s volunteer time to its rural clients. For LSSM, Harris has handled 30 Judicare cases and eight pro bono cases for low-income people in rural Missouri providing over 433 hours of legal representation.

BTI Consulting selected Husch Blackwell LLP as one of 22 firms in the nation that excel in structuring alternative fee arrangements.

Nonprofit
Maura Taylor of Catholic Charities of Southern Missouri attended the Catholic Charities USA Spring Gathering for Directors in New Orleans as one of 15 members elected to serve on the executive committee of the Council of Diocesan Directors. Taylor also was named chairwoman of the council’s leadership committee.

Catholic Charities hired Marc Truby as director of special projects. The former executive director of the Nixa Chamber of Commerce, he works primarily on social enterprise, affordable housing, marketing and development. Truby has over 10 years of experience.

Technology
Xerox Corp. selected Greg and Lisa Tigges, owners of Document Solutions of Springfield, to receive the company’s President’s Club Award, recognizing sales, customer satisfaction and business performance in 2015. The company ranked third among medium-size Xerox agencies nationwide for the second year in a row.
