Dave Coble was hired as vice president of business development for APlus Payroll. He previously worked as director of sales and marketing for Springfield Remanufacturing Corp.

BKD Wealth Advisors was ranked No. 22 on CNBC’s list of the Top 100 Fee-Only Management Firms. Scores are based on such factors as assets, staff levels, average account size and years in business.

Banking and Finance
Metropolitan National Bank promoted Angela Lynn to vice president and senior operations officer and Crystal Green to assistant manager at its Glenstone Avenue banking center. Lynn has 18 years of experience, most recently as vice president and online services officer, and Green has seven years of experience, including time as a centralized documentation preparation specialist for the bank.

Hamilton Trinidad joined Trust Company of the Ozarks as vice president and senior portfolio manager. He worked previously as a primary portfolio manager for Collective and Common Stock Funds and has a bachelor’s in business administration and finance from Westminster College.

Guaranty Federal Bancshares Inc. appointed Paul Mueller Co. President and CEO David Moore to the bank’s board of directors. Elected to a three-year term, Moore succeeds Gregory Ostergren of American National Property and Casualty Co., who retired from the Guaranty Bank board after 15 years of service.

Design
Grooms Office Environments promoted Audrey Garard to vice president and chief operating officer and hired Victoria Gorham as an account representative and marketing manager and Jaden Bracht as an interior designer. Garard, a Grooms employee since 2005, was sales manager the last year. Gorham completed an internship at Grooms and recently graduated from Missouri State University, as did Bracht.

Education
The Kern Family Foundation Inc. awarded a $194,100 grant to the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary at Evangel University. The funds are designed to help advance the integration of faith, work and economics.

Sheri Phillips was named Evangel’s vice president for student development. Phillips, who served as interim vice president for the 2013–14 school year, has a bachelor’s in psychology from Evangel, a master’s in counseling psychology from Wheaton College and a doctorate in higher education leadership from Azusa Pacific University.

The MSU Ad Team received first place in the Challenge Your Energy IQ Case competition for a campaign for the American Petroleum Institute.

Government
Steven Bodenhamer, city administrator in Strafford, was appointed by Gov. Jay Nixon to a one-year term on the Missouri Public Entity Risk Management Fund Board of Trustees. A registered professional engineer, Bodenhamer has 36 years of experience in the mining and manufacturing industries. The fund board works to provide a shared risk pool to Missouri public entities offering coverage that is a stable economic alternative to traditional insurance policies.

Health Care
Kory Johnson received a doctorate in chiropractic from Logan University and joined the staff at Loehr Chiropractic and Acupuncture. A licensed massage therapist since 2005, Johnson specializes in athletic treatment.

Hospitality
Ashley Moore joined the Ramada Plaza Hotel & Oasis Convention Center as catering sales manager. Moore, who has customer service experience in pharmaceutical sales and event planning, holds a bachelor’s in communications from MSU.

Insurance
Barker-Phillips-Jackson Inc. hired Kevin Connolly as a producer. Connelly, who has practiced law in England and Ireland, most recently worked at Springfield Business Journal as an account executive.

Modern Woodmen of America representative Anthony Hammock attained the Fraternal Insurance Counselor designation from the Fraternal Field Managers Association. The educational designation represents one year of training and successful completion of an examination by life insurance professionals.

Nonprofit
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks elected Christian Lewis to its board of directors. Lewis, who holds a bachelor’s in management and marketing from Columbia College, is a commercial lender with Liberty Bank.

Lutheran Family and Children’s Services received a $9,800 donation from Youngblood Auto Group. The money was raised through a pledge of $50 for every car the dealership sold in April.

Alternative Opportunities Inc. received an exemplary rating for its individual placement and support services through the Carol Jones Recovery Center for Women. The rating was based on a program review by the Missouri Department of Mental Health and the Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.

Ozarks Regional YMCA appointed board members Charity Elmer, senior vice president and general counsel for CoxHealth, and Julie Mercer-Kidd, director of mission services for Mercy Hospital Springfield.

Real Estate
Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realtor Kathy Gallegos was named a Certified Residential Specialist by the Council of Residential Specialists, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors.

Technology
Jason Eaton joined Dazzee Integrations as a project manager and virtual chief information officer. Eaton, who holds a bachelor’s in computer information systems from the University of North Dakota, has experience as a network administrator in the U.S. Air Force and as an engineer and project manager for JPMorgan Chase & Co.
