Architecture Esterly Schneider & Associates Inc. named Melissa Higbie, Thomas Lundberg and Timothy Guillot as partners and hired three staff members. Katie McCroskey joined the firm as marketing director, Christy Sade as business manager and Billie Weidmann as a computer-aided drafting and design technician. Higbie and Lundberg have 20 years of experience apiece with Esterly Schneider & Associates, and Guillot has worked 12 years with the company.
Education Peggy Reed, an associate professor of education at Evangel University, was elected secretary of the Missouri chapter of the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators. An active member for six years, Reed will serve a two-year term.
The planning program within the department of geography, geology and planning at Missouri State University was reaccredited through the Planning Accreditation Board through Dec. 31, 2018.
Health Care Dr. Anne Winkler, a rheumatologist at Citizens Memorial Hospital, was one of 50 selected to participate in the Rheumatoid Arthritis Performance Project. The national assessment group plans to study how rheumatoid arthritis patients are being managed as a population within a community.
Hospitality The Montclair Retirement Community promoted five-year employee Mike Korlin to business office manager from senior concierge and hired Madeleine Desloge as administrative assistant. Desloge holds a bachelor’s degree in gerontology from MSU.
Law Husch Blackwell LLP named Springfield attorneys Laura Greene and Jason Smith as partners. Both members of the real estate, development and construction team, Greene holds a law degree from Boston University School of Law and a bachelor’s from Southeast Missouri State University, and Smith, a trial lawyer, holds a law degree from Washington University School of Law and a bachelor’s from Maryville University.
