The Missouri Cattlemen’s Association named Mike Parson, of Bolivar, the Cattleman of the Year during the 49th annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show. Parson, who recently was elected Missouri lieutenant governor, owns a cow-calf operation in Bolivar.
Banking and Finance
Carlye Wannenmacher, vice president and director of marketing at Guaranty Bank, received the certified financial marketing professional designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association. She has worked for Guaranty Bank for 10 years and holds a bachelor’s in journalism from University of Missouri-Columbia.
Becky Bonner was named vice president and trust relationship manager for U.S. Bank Private Client Group in Springfield. She has 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently as vice president with Central Trust Co.
Shawna Clark of Metro Credit Union and Wendy Loeber of Community Financial Credit Union were selected for the 2017 CUlead class, the Heartland Credit Union Association’s leadership development program. Clark is a member operation manager and Loeber is a branch manager.
Paula Dougherty, a certified financial planner for Ameriprise Financial-Doughtery Wealth Management, obtained the accredited portfolio management adviser designation. She has worked with Ameriprise for 21 years.
Construction
The Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield awarded the Builder Member of the Year posthumously to Randy Friga of Friga Construction Co., the Associate Company of the Year to Mouery’s Carpet Center LLC, the Board of Directors Award to Mike Benna and the Associate Individual of the Year to Jill Vincel of Southern Supply Co. Randy Friga’s son Eric accepted the award on behalf of his family and dad, who died in October. The HBA also recognized Tom Maher and Ron Stenger Cos. for their years of involvement and contributions.

Pamela Hamilton joined Ollis/Akers/Arney as an associate account manager. She attended Missouri Valley College and holds a certified association executive designation.
Law
Spencer Fane LLP appointed Springfield attorney Elizabeth Wente as a partner. She is a labor and employment attorney who provides counseling and risk management services.
Douglas, Haun & Heidemann PC hired Nickolas Allen as an associate attorney. Working as a law clerk with the firm since August, he primarily assists the litigation department. Allen earned his Juris Doctor from University of Arkansas Law School.
