KPM CPAs PC hired Tyler Olsen as an audit supervisor. Olsen, who holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Utah, previously worked for seven years with Ernst & Young and eBay in California.

Architecture
Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. named 2012 Drury University architecture graduates Alex Reyland and Ian Lee as intern architects.

Communications
U.S. Cellular named Jason Buntin store manager for its locations in Branson and in Springfield.

Buntin, who holds a bachelor’s in business management from Missouri Southern State University, worked as store manager for U.S. Cellular in Joplin and has eight years of experience with the company.

Education
Ozarks Technical Community College’s fundraising arm, the OTC Foundation, named Wil Fischer Cos. President Jeff Gower chairman of the board. The foundation also appointed Branson Mayor Raeanne Presley as vice chairwoman, Positronics Industries Inc. President John Gentry as secretary and Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown PC Vice President Chip Sheppard as treasurer.

Missouri State University named Frank Einhellig as provost and Penni Groves as general counsel.

Einhellig, who joined MSU in 1992 as dean of the Graduate College, has served most recently as interim provost. Einhellig received bachelor’s degrees from the University of Kansas and Kansas State University, and a master’s degree and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. Groves, who has served as interim general counsel since 2011, has served on the school’s legal team since 2004. Groves holds a law degree from Baylor University.

Finance
Certified financial planner Eric Peterson of Peterson Wealth Advisors attended three industry conferences: the Financial Planning Association national conference; an informational conference hosted by bond trading firm Pimco Funds; and the Commonwealth Financial Network national conference.

Health Care
CoxHealth received four first place awards for public relations and marketing projects from the Missouri Association for Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing. The health system was honored for a crisis communications plan in response to a fire at the Missouri Hotel homeless shelter, its Connect Daily internal email, a critical care nurse recruitment campaign, and a written piece called, “An Inside Look at Steve Edwards’ First Day as CEO.”

Two local Mercy auxiliary groups were honored by the Missouri Hospital Association for their volunteer services. The Mercy Hospital Lebanon Auxiliary’s 52 members donated 120,905 hours of service to the hospital, and the Mercy Hospital Springfield Auxiliary’s 927 members provided 170,000 hours of service.

Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center surgeon Dr. Jacob Thomas received board certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology. Thomas is a graduate of Drury and the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine.
