Dr. Chris Reeves has returned to Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson after a yearlong spine fellowship in Beverly Hills. Prior to his fellowship, Reeves, a doctor of osteopathic medicine, was at Skaggs for three years. He has nine years of experience in the medical field. During his fellowship, he studied under Dr. John Regan, an orthopedic spine surgeon, and Dr. Carl Lauryssen, a neurosurgeon.

Former Drury University student-athlete Matt Miller joined Drury as director of campus wellness and community outreach. Miller, who earned his bachelor's degree and a Master of Business Administration from Drury, has worked in commercial and residential real estate for the past five years, including working at Murney Associates Realtors and as regional director for Murphy Business and Financial Corp. He is developing and implementing a campus wellness program. He also oversees Drury's fitness center and intramural programs and supervises a university club sports program.

Skaggs Community Health Center in Branson hired Carol Murrow as vice president of physician recruitment. She is responsible for leading and developing the physician staffing and recruitment functions for Skaggs, including staffing strategy and retention. Murrow holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, personal management and organizational behavior from the University of North Texas in Denton. She also has a master's degree in human resources development. Her more than nine years of experience in physician recruitment include Horton Smith & Associates Inc. in Overland Park, Kan., and CoxHealth and St. John's in Springfield.

St. John's doctors Brian Mahaffey and Victor Wilson served as co-medical directors for the 2008 St. John's Sunshine Run, held Oct. 10. Mahaffey, a St. John's Clinic primary care physician specializing in sports medicine, and Wilson, a St. John's Clinic sports medicine orthopedic specialist, oversaw all medical issues related to the event, which drew 1,800 people.

Cox College hired Cathy Wetzel as financial aid director at the school, which offers four nursing programs. Wetzel brings 15 years of experience in financial aid to her new position, most recently at Evangel University and Vatterott College. At Cox College, she oversees two financial aid counselors providing information and services to more than 500 students.

Lindy Biglieni joined Cox College as director of admissions. Biglieni previously worked in public relations and marketing as a product manager with Willow Brook Foods. She works with the college's two admissions counselors to recruit students.

Cox College hired John Clayton as director of institutional research and assessment. Clayton spent the past nine years as assistant director of assessment, information and analysis at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, where he earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in business administration.

Ron Ponds joined the Cox College Board of Trustees, a 16-member group comprised of eight community representatives and eight members of the CoxHealth Board of Directors. Ponds, who is the district manager of the Springfield Social Security Administration office, has served on CoxHealth's board since 2006.

St. John's Health System was designated the Best School at Work Management Team by Catalyst Learning. St. John's was selected from more than 350 health care organizations who offer the School at Work program, which St. John's added in 2003 to create job-learning opportunities to help entry-level employees advance to higher-paying jobs. Participants are referred to the program by their supervisors, and learning sessions are on-site during normal work hours.

St. John's officials accepted the award in August at the Creating Opportunities for Career Advancement conference in Louisville, Ky.
