Annette L. McEvoy, EA, member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners, completed the requirements for the NATP Achiever Award. McEvoy is president of and operates Annette's Bookkeeping Services Inc.

Edward Jones Investments Co. in Springfield announced that Stan Arnoldy has achieved the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner by completing educational requirements and by upholding the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibilities.

People in the News

Pat Cunningham joined Trust Company of the Ozarks as senior vice president of business development. She most recently served for nine years as vice president of trust and investment planning for a major regional bank. Cunningham holds bachelor of science and master of business administration degrees in marketing from Southwest Missouri State University.

Davis, Lynn & Moots, PC, announced three promotions.

Emily Calhoun was promoted to senior accountant. She provides all levels of tax services to the firm. Calhoun is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University.

John Everest will provide audit services for governmental and nonprofit entities as an in-charge accountant. Everest is a graduate of SMSU.

Andy Marmouget was promoted to firm manager. He provides financial audit and consulting services for governmental and nonprofit entities. He is a graduate of SMSU.

Rosemary Donson, a residential real estate specialist with Commerce Bank, was promoted to assistant vice president. She joined Commerce Bank in 1975. As assistant vice president, Donson is responsible for business development and customer service for Commerce's mortgage loan products.

Elliott, Robinson & Company LLP, announced four staff changes.

Michael Babcock was promoted to senior accountant. A 1998 SMSU graduate, he has been with the company for three years. Babcock's responsibilities include working with for-profit businesses and individual income taxes as well as increased supervision of firm employees.

Abby Bell also was promoted to senior accountant. Her duties include work with for-profit businesses and individual income taxes, as well as increased duties in supervising firm employees. Bell is a 1998 graduate of Drury University and has been with the company for four years.

Greg Kollmeyer was promoted to manager. In addition to client responsibilities, his duties include supervision of employees and other management functions. Kollmeyer has a masters degree in accounting from SMSU and has been with Elliott, Robinson & Company since 1993.

Jay R. Mostyn, CPA, was promoted to supervisor at Elliott, Robinson & Company LLP. In addition to his client responsibilities, he will have increased duties in supervising firm employees and computer consulting. Mostyn graduated from Truman State University in 1993 and received a masters degree in accounting from SMSU in 1997.

Gary R. Farrar, PMP, joined the Springfield office of Baird, Kurtz & Dobson, certified public accountants, as a managing consultant. In that position, he serves as the director of information technology consulting and provides consulting for technology and e-business, in addition to process improvement and project management services. Farrar has more than 26 years of experience in information technology, in the fields of health care, financial services and government. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University-Ruston, he holds a bachelor of science degree in quantitative analysis and a masters of business administration degree in finance.

Jeff Johnson joined Great Southern Bank as a mortgage loan originator. In that position, he is responsible for originating mortgage loans through new business development and existing clients. Prior to his position as a mortgage loan originator, Johnson served Great Southern Bank as a consumer loan officer.

Metropolitan National Bank announced five staff changes.

Vicki McFarland was named manager for the Bank on the Spur location of Metropolitan National Bank in Marshfield. She manages retail operations, personal banking and business development of deposit accounts for the Webster County market. McFarland has held many positions at the bank since joining the staff in 1998.

Ray Merryman was appointed Metropolitan National Bank's executive vice president. He previously worked for 1st Savings Bank, serving in various management positions. After leaving 1st Savings, Merryman and Dave Tooley operated Sho-Me Investments, a commercial real estate investment firm.

Patrick O'Connell joined Metropolitan National Bank as vice president. He previously served as vice president in the commercial lending department of Firstar Bank since 1997. He graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor of science and a master of business administration degree. He is also a graduate of The Stonier Graduate School of Banking and of the Commercial Lending School in Norman, Okla.

Dave Tooley was named president and chief executive officer. Tooley was with 1st Savings Bank from 1975 until its 1998 merger with Union Planters Bank. He served as executive vice-president and director and managed the bank's lending operations in an eight-county area.

Rick Windes also joined Metropolitan National Bank as a vice president. He previously worked at Firstar Bank as a vice president in the commercial lending department. Windes is a graduate of Truman State University.

Brian Saddler was named vice president of lending for Ozark Bank at its Highway 65 and CC location. Saddler is a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, and he has more than 12 years of experience in the banking industry, particularly in real estate, consumer and commercial lending.

Becky Scorse joined Guaranty Federal Savings Bank as senior vice president of commercial loans. Scorse has more than 11 years of experience in the banking industry and formerly worked for Firstar.

April Smith joined Old Missouri National Bank as loan assistant in the mortgage and construction loan department. Smith has 10 years banking experience in the area.

Bob Ward was named president of Mid-Missouri Bank. Immediately prior to that position, Ward was president and chief executive officer of Metropolitan National Bank. He also has served as an officer with Boatmen's Bank and First City National Bank, and he is a former president of Citizens State Bank. A grad-uate of SMSU, he holds a masters of business administration from Drury University.
