Commerce Bank hired Richard German as senior vice president and commercial banking officer. German is a graduate of Missouri State University, and he has 23 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. He is responsible for business development and relationship management with commercial clients.
Empire Bank promoted Robert D. Berlin to senior vice president and chief lending officer from senior vice president and commercial loan team leader. Berlin has more than 30 years of banking experience and a bachelor’s in marketing from Missouri State University. Berlin manages Empire’s lending activities, including consumer loans and mortgages, as well as Empire’s loan portfolio.
Michael Farrar joined Regions Bank as a community bank relationship manager in Springfield. He is a graduate of Missouri State University. Farrar’s experience includes working as a personal banker and small-business lender at Bank of America and a commercial relationship manager with agricultural lending experience at U.S. Bank.
Jenny Reynolds joined Postal Federal Community Credit Union as marketing director. She previously served as vice president of marketing at CU Community Credit Union. Reynolds has a bachelor’s in marketing, advertising and promotion from MSU. She is responsible for advertising, graphic design, public relations and event planning.
Phillip Peck joined Postal Federal Community Credit Union as facilities manager. Peck has more than 30 years of experience in business operations, sales and consulting. He is responsible for operations and building maintenance of the credit union’s branches and operations center. Kerri Clarke joined Trust Company of the Ozarks as an administrative assistant. Clarke has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance from MSU. Her more than five years of experience in the financial industry includes working in operations and as an administrative assistant for area investment management firms. At Trust Company of the Ozarks, she performs daily account activities with the trust administration team. P. Lee Gilbert, chairman and CEO of Mid-Missouri Banchares, was one of 12 individuals appointed to the Missouri Citizens Commission on Compensation for Elected Officials. The commission determines compensation for elected state officials, members of the general assembly and judges, except for municipal judges. Gilbert has been in southwest and western Missouri banking since 1952. Great Southern Travel, a division of Great Southern Bank, received at Top 10 Award from Ensemble Travel Group, The honor is presented to the top 2 percent of Ensemble Travel Group’s 450 U.S. member agencies based on 2009 sales performance.
Jim Mathisen joined Capital Lending, a division of the Larson Group, as operations manager. Mathisen has a business and accounting degree from North Dakota State University and more than 20 years of experience in leasing and financing.
Diane Epley joined UMB Bank as vice president and organizational manager. Epley attended MSU and is a certified human resources professional. She previously was assistant vice president and human resources director at Mid-Missouri Bank. In her new role, Epley is responsible for employee relations and benefits administration in UMBís greater Missouri region.
UMB Bank hired Justin Butler and Christopher Lawson as commercial banking officers. Butler has a bachelor’s in business administration from Drury University and previously spent more than three years as a banking center manager and lender with Great Southern Bank.
