Newsmakers in Banking and Wealth Management

Marcy Dollens was named vice president and wealth management consultant for The Commerce Trust Co. She has more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, as well as a training and referral background in banking. Dollens, who holds National Association of Securities Dealers Series 7 and 63 licenses, offers personal trust and investment management to clients and develops, builds and retains referral relationships.

Laura Kiesel joined The Commerce Trust Co. as trust administrator for the private client group. She has more than 18 years of experience in administration, accounting and management. Kiesel’s responsibilities include account administration and customer service related to personal trust and investment management services.

Steve Brewer joined OakStar Bank as senior vice president and senior commercial banking officer. He has more than 30 years of experience in banking and finance, four of those in the local banking market. Prior to relocating to Springfield, he was in Sedalia, where he served as an instructor for American Institute of Banking classes at Sedalia Community College.

Jim MacKay, CFP, was promoted to assistant vice president of portfolio management at Springfield Trust and Investment Co. He has eight years of financial experience, working with clients on investment education, portfolio allocation and financial planning. MacKay earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

Commerce Bank announced two staff changes in its commercial division. Carolina Decker was promoted to senior vice president from vice president of the commercial banking division. As a commercial relationship manager, Decker’s emphasis is on nonprofits, municipalities, school districts, and tax-exempt lending and treasury services. She earned her undergraduate degree in accounting from Missouri State University and her master’s degree in business administration from Drury University.

Byron Pierce was promoted to vice president and commercial relationship manager at Commerce. He is responsible for business development and relationship management related to the bank’s line of commercial products, including lending and treasury management solutions. He is a graduate of McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Denise Worsham was named banking center manager/loan officer for Empire Bank’s banking center in Pleasant Hope. She has 20 years of banking and management experience, most recently serving as manager of Empire Bank’s Strafford location. Worsham is responsible for managing retail operations, lending, and business and community development for the banking center.

Ann Crow was named assistant vice president/ banking center manager for Empire Bank’s Strafford banking center. She has 32 years of banking and management experience, most recently at Empire’s North Kansas facility.

Mid-Missouri Bank announced several staff changes. Denise Kirby joined Mid-Missouri as senior vice president of operations. She has more than 30 years of experience in banking and is responsible for coordinating the operations at 15 Mid-Missouri Bank branches.

Matthew Riley was named community bank president of Mid-Missouri Bank in Lebanon. A graduate of Saint Louis University with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees, Riley has 23 years of banking experience.

Kelly Jeffries joined Mid-Missouri as a credit review manager, responsible or 15 Mid-Missouri branches. She has 15 years of banking experience in the Springfield market.

Douglas Watson joined Mid-Missouri as community president in Joplin/Webb City. A graduate of Missouri State University and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, he has more than 30 years of banking experience.

Avery Hudson joined Mid-Missouri Bancshares as internal auditor. She is responsible for auditing Mid-Missouri branches. Hudson is a graduate of Missouri Southern University in Joplin, where she earned an accounting degree.

First Home Savings Bank announced several staff additions in its residential lending department. Kerry L. Norman, Don M. Carriker Jr., and Tyler McGill joined the residential lending department of First Home Savings Bank as loan officers. Norman has seven years of lending experience, Carriker has 10 years of experience and McGill has nine years of lending experience. Sara Fear, Chris Roberts and Jennifer Wilson joined First Home Savings as residential loan specialists. Fear has five years of experience, and Roberts and Wilson each have six years of experience. The residential lending department specializes in Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, government and construction home loans.

Karrie Schuler was named branch operations manager for the Ozark location of Peoples Bank of the Ozarks. She joined the bank in July as a float manager, and she has more than six years of experience in banking and financial services.

Paula Walker, a mortgage loan officer with Great Southern Bank, earned the certified mortgage planner designation from Espleez, The Mortgage Academy. She completed more than 120 hours of in-depth study, including 70 hours of home-study coursework, as well as one week of hands-on, on-site instruction and practical implementation. Topics addressed in the coursework include strategies or asset protection and growth and consumer advocacy.

Community Financial Credit Union announced several staff changes. Chrystal Hays was promoted to mortgage department manager, overseeing residential loan production and home loan operations. She joined CFCU in 2002 as a financial services representative, and she has more than 11 years of banking experience. Hays also recently earned the certified mortgage planner designation from Espleez, The Mortgage Training Academy, following successful completion of more than 120 hours of coursework. Kathleen Frohman joined CFCU as a mortgage processor. She has five years of experience with credit unions and extensive retail experience.

Betsy Smith was promoted to loan officer with CFCU, responsible for the credit union’s credit card program as well as serving members who need consumer loans and new accounts. She joined CFCU in 2006 as a financial services representative. [[In-content Ad]]
