Attorney Douglas S. Evans, partner with Evans & Green LLP was elected to a three-year term on The American Board of Certification's board of directors. The organization is responsible for certification of creditors' rights, business and consumer bankruptcy attorneys nationwide.

Guaranty Bank made five promotions. Derek Fraley was promoted to vice president, treasurer of Guaranty Bank. He joined Guaranty in 2008 and has more than nine years of banking experience. Fraley has a bachelor's degree in finance and a Master of Business Administration. His work experience includes positions in accounting, credit and investments.

Teri Harris was promoted to vice president, controller of Guaranty Bank. She worked for the bank 1997-2002 in several positions related to branch operations and loans. Harris, who rejoined Guaranty Bank in 2006, has about 11 years of banking experience and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Carlye Wannenmacher was promoted to vice president, director of marketing at Guaranty Bank. With the bank since 2007, she has about 14 years of marketing and public relations experience. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising.

Will Cologna was promoted to Guaranty Bank's deposit services officer. He has been with Guaranty since 2001 and has roughly 13 years of banking experience, with positions in branch and deposit operations. He has a bachelor's degree in history and a Master of Business Administration.

Krystal Kauffman was promoted to internal audit officer at Guaranty Bank. With Guaranty since 2007, she has more than nine years of banking experience, including branch operations, accounting and auditing. Kauffman has a bachelor's degree in accounting.

BKD LLP was named among the Best Accounting Firms to Work For in 2009, the firm's second consecutive year on the list compiled by Accounting Today. BKD is the highest-ranking Top 10 firm in the large category. Rankings are determined by a two-part survey that evaluates several categories, including policies, practices, demographics, corporate culture, pay and benefits.

CU Community Credit Union was named one of the most fair and ethical credit card providers nationwide by Credit Card Connection. To be eligible for the honor, financial institutions' credit card fees must be 18 percent or less, have no balance transfer fees, late fees of $25 or less, no penalty rates and no annual fees. CU Community Credit Union earned the highest Dean's List honors as a result of its credit card offerings.
