Charles E. Powell, PE, department manager for structural and land development at Scott Consulting Engineers PC in Springfield was elected as a board of directors' representative to the executive committee of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers. As one of two representatives of the board of directors on the committee, Powell is part of the society's seven-member governing and decision-making body. The society's primary objective is to enhance the image and well-being of its members via advocacy of strong licensure laws and the ethical and competent practice of engineering to protect public health, safety and welfare. |ret||ret||tab|

Brad R. Parrish, PE, cofounder and vice president of Palmerton & Parrish Inc. in Springfield, was installed as treasurer of the Missouri Society of Professional Engineers during the MSPE's 65th annual convention, held in June in Springfield. This is Parrish's second year of a two-year term as the society's treasurer. |ret||ret||tab|

Also during the MSPE's convention, Leo E. Day, PE, who works in the Springfield office of the Missouri Department of Transportation, received a Lifetime Service Award from the Ozark chapter of the MSPE. |ret||ret||tab|

Brad Tate, PE, was promoted to associate of Affinis Corp., formerly Larkin Group Consulting Engineers Inc. He directs all ad-ministrative and technical activities as office manager of the Spring-field Affinis location.|ret||ret||tab|
