Bush, Ramlow & Shore PC added one employee, promoted another and announced professional recognition for another staff member. The firm hired Megan Wilson, a certified public accountant, as a senior accountant, practicing in bank compliance consulting, loan review, internal audit and tax preparation. Wilson earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Missouri State University. Olga Plaster was promoted to staff accountant with the firm.  Plaster, who assists clients in accounting and tax preparation, received her bachelor’s and master’s in accounting from Precarpathian University in Ukraine. The company also recognized Beth Ogan, staff accountant and five-year employee, for earning her CPA designation. Ogan earned her bachelor’s and master’s in accounting from MSU.

Banking
Patty Doucey joined Old Missouri Bank as a loan assistant. Doucey has 21 years of banking industry experience to her position. In addition to duties focused on loan servicing, Doucey works with the bank’s loan officers regarding commercial and consumer loans and mortgages.

Great Southern promoted Kristy Paddock to VIP banking manager in the Springfield market. Paddock, who has five years experience with the bank, is the main point of contact for customers in the Springfield area who use the bank’s VIP services.

Education
Marcie Venter, assistant research professor and research archaeologist for the Center for Archaeological Research at MSU, received a $19,164 grant from the Delaware Tribe to help identify, report and protect early 19th-century Delaware settlements and cemeteries in the James River valley from urban expansion. The funds are part of a $39,742 Historic Preservation Fund grant the tribe received from the National Park Service.

Angela Strider, coordinator of leadership development and programming in MSU’s office of residence life and services, received the Cindy Fendrick Award for Professional Service by the Midwest Affiliate of the National Association of College and University Residence Halls. The annual award is designed to honor distinguished leadership by a housing professional.

Health Care
William Mahoney, president and CEO of Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson, was elected to serve a one-year term as president of the Missouri Hospital Association’s Southwest District Council. As one of six district council presidents, Mahoney presides over council meetings, guides discussions on association policies and activities, and directs input from council members on national, state and regional health care policies to the organization’s board of trustees.

Insurance
Nixon & Lindstrom Insurance recently hired Ray Bender as an agent specializing in personal lines and small-business insurance. 

Marketing
Kamber Sperle was hired as Dixie Stampede’s group sales manager to attract convention and conference business. Sperle has worked for the company for eight years as a performer, trick rider, aerialist, server and marketing assistant.

Evangel University named Valorie Coleman assistant director of public relations. Coleman, whose job responsibilities include writing news releases, producing Vision magazine, and oversight of the school’s ad campaigns for local and national media, earned her bachelor’s in communications from Evangel. She has worked previously in public relations for the Assemblies of God.

Nonprofit
Jeanna Callahan, Matt Cash, Kathleen Kimball, Carrie Neblett and Britni Seckinger were named to the The Killuminati Foundation’s 2012 board of directors.

The newly chartered Code 3 Sertoma Club in Springfield has named its first-year officers: Gayla McDowell, president; Jennifer Arnott, president-elect; Stephanie Gooden, vice president; Leslie James, treasurer; and Phil Noah, sergeant-at-arms. Board directors are Jim Arnott, David Hall, Eric Latimer, Debbie Lawrence, Dale Wagner and Paul Williams.

Tiara Slack was named director of quality assurance at The Arc of the Ozarks. Slack’s responsibilities include staff training and ensuring compliance with national and state standards for providing services to individuals with disabilities. Slack, who earned her bachelor’s from MSU, previously worked in the Springfield regional office for the Missouri Department of Mental Health.

Retail
Stoneridge Flooring Design was recently recognized by Mohawk as Flooring Design Retailer of the Year for the Central Plains region. Mohawk, a manufacturer of flooring products, selected Stoneridge for the award using criteria including increased sales, excellence in store promotion, and a commitment to training, merchandising and community involvement.

Services
Zen 3 Spa and Bodyworks recently hired Frank Lannutti as a licensed massage therapist, and Tammi Good as a licensed massage therapist and registered yoga instructor. Lannutti is a graduate of the Professional Massage Training Center and brings more than 760 hours of training experience to the position.

Good has practiced massage therapy since 1994 and taught yoga since 2005.[[In-content Ad]]
