Leslie Conklin and Jason Moses of KPM CPAs PC earned their CPA licenses by completing the certified public accounting examinations.

KPM accountant Rebecca Friedrich received her advanced single audit certificate. She also serves as manager for the firm’s governmental team.

ADsmith Marketing and Advertising hired Jessica Gremminger as account manager and Dalton Fischer as digital marketing assistant. Gremminger has a bachelor’s in marketing with an emphasis in advertising and promotions from Missouri State University, and Fischer is a senior at MSU pursuing a bachelor’s in marketing with an emphasis in sales/management.

Rachel Sedgwick joined Ollis/Akers/Arney as a receptionist. She graduated from Southwest Baptist University in 2012 with bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology.

Banking
Commerce Bank promoted Jennifer Pauhl to a residential real estate originator. With 13 years of banking and lending experience at Commerce, she focuses on mortgage loan products in Christian County.

Guaranty Bank promoted Lacey Brewer to assistant retail banking manager for its two north Springfield branches. She joined Guaranty Bank in 2006 as a full-time teller and progressed through each level before being named retail lead for the Glenstone Banking Center in 2014.

Broadcasting
Mid-West Family Broadcasting promoted Marketing Relations Coordinator Jen Rawls to business manager. She has worked with the radio station since late 2015.

Health Care
CoxHealth recognized three nurses with Daisy awards: Debra Lay of the Radiology Care Unit at Cox South; and Elisabeth Choate and Edwin Espinoza, both in Critical Care at Cox Branson. The awards recognize the education, training, skill and compassionate care nurses provide in medical facilities throughout the United States.

Law
Law partners Dee Wampler and Joseph Passanise were recognized as Best Lawyers and their firm as a Best Law Firm by U.S. News & World Report. Wampler and Passanise have been partners for nearly 20 years and practice in federal, state and municipal courts.

Nonprofit
Lost and Found Grief Center hired Emily Givens as executive director, beginning in May. She currently is director of student life at Drury University.  

The Council of Churches of the Ozarks elected three new board members: The Rev. Ellen Bentley of Westminster Presbyterian Church; Britton Jobe of Neale & Newman LLP; and Keith Noble of Commerce Bank.

The National Association of Music Merchants elected Palen Music Center President Eric Matzat to serve on its board of directors. He also is a member of the National Association of School Music Dealers and an advisory board member of the Alliance of Independent Music Merchants.

Sports
Missouri Sports Hall of Fame inducted Springfield Public Schools wellness coordinator and Glendale High School soccer coach Jeff Rogers. Coaching since the early 1990s, his career record of 826 wins, 304 losses and 66 ties ranks fourth in the state.

passed The Federal Aviation Administration’s inspection discrepancy free for the 13th year in a row.
