Architecture The American Institute of Architects presented Tim Rosenbury of Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. with the 2011 AIA Missouri Distinguished Service Award for AIA participation as well as involvement in political action and community organizations.
Jared Younglove of Paragon Architecture Inc. received his state license after passing the architectural registration exam. Younglove, whose project list includes the Stone County Library and Springfield Teachers Credit Union, specializes in commercial and medical office design.
Banking & Finance The Whitlock Co. hired Chelsey Blackwell and Aaron Henry as staff accountants. Blackwell graduated from Drury University in 2011 with a bachelor’s in business administration and is sitting for the certified public accountants exam. Henry has a bachelor’s in accounting, a Master of Accountancy and a certificate in forensic accounting from Missouri State University.
Jill Bishop, compliance and internal audit officer at BluCurrent Credit Union, earned designation as a credit union compliance expert from the Credit Union National Association’s Center for Professional Development.
BluCurrent promoted Gary Kirk to chief financial officer and Megan Ramey to director of member services. Kirk’s responsibilities include treasury management, accounting functions, budget oversight and management of the investment portfolio. He holds a bachelor’s in finance from MSU and is a graduate of the Credit Union National Association Management School. Ramey manages the daily functions at the institution’s five branches, as well as back office support functions. Her duties relate to lending, member and support services, product sales and branch operations. Ramey holds a bachelor’s in administrative management from MSU.
Pat Cox was named to the Ozark Mountain Bank Board of Directors. Cox is co-owner of Starboard Marinas Inc. in Branson. His community roles have included serving as board chairman of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
Food Services The Cup LLC promoted Kate Reed to general manager. Reed, who worked previously for the company as production leader, also has experience as a print and mail services manager.
Government Taylor Bolton, Jim Cooney and Michael Ramsey joined the Springfield Police Department after graduating from the Lateral Hire Academy. Bolton holds the rank of staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps and served as a Bolivar police officer. Cooney holds a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Florida Atlantic University and was a police officer in Palm Beach, Fla. Ramsey completed his first police academy at Drury University and also worked at the Bolivar Police Department.
Health Care Becker’s Hospital Review named CoxHealth among 101 Hospitals with Great Spine and Neurosurgery Programs nationwide. Nominated hospitals were selected by the publication’s editorial team based on quality care data, clinical accolades and contributions to the industry.
Law Baird, Lightner, Millsap & Harpool PC partner Warford “Trace” Johnson III was selected to the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association Board of Directors. Johnson’s term runs 2012–14.
Christian County Bar Association President Lee Ann Walker joined the Greene County Estate Planning Council. Walker’s Ozark law firm specializes in estate planning and family law. She received her law degree from Pepperdine University.
Husch Blackwell LLP partner Lincoln Knauer received the Legal Champions Award from Missouri Lawyers Weekly for his pro bono representation of Clayton Price, whose conviction for statutory sodomy was recently vacated. Knauer and his team devoted nearly 2,000 hours on the case.
Nonprofit Ozarks New Energy Inc. named five members to its 2012 board: Susan Adams, director of human resources, environment and safety with Able Manufacturing & Assembly of Joplin; Tommy Bieker, Springfield councilman and environmental scientist with Midwest Environmental Consultants; Patty Hamilton, safety, security and environmental coordinator with Kraft Foods; Natasha Longpine, principal planner with Ozarks Transportation Organization; and Barbara Lucks, interim sustainability officer with the city of Springfield.
