Roberts, McKenzie, Mangan and Cummings PC promoted Jackie McCroskey to senior accountant. McCroskey is a graduate of Drury University with a bachelor’s in accounting.

Banking and Finance
TSI Technology Solutions co-owner Doug Pitt joined the Great Southern Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: GSBC) board of directors. Pitt has 24 years of experience as a technology entrepreneur.

Bank of Little Rock Mortgage added Tammy Baker as a mortgage officer in Springfield. Baker has worked 15 years in mortgage lending and five years in real estate.

Metropolitan National Bank was recognized as a platinum-level, fit friendly worksite by the American Heart Association. The bank launched a quality of life initiative that reimbursed employees $50 per quarter toward their healthy hobbies.

Guaranty Bank promoted Stacey Richardson to retail banking officer at its Nixa branch on Mount Vernon Street. Richardson has 12 years of banking experience.
 
Engineering
Olsson Associates Inc. promoted Eric Shelton and Tim Robins to associate engineers after they passed their professional engineering exams. Shelton graduated from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering. Robins graduated from Missouri S&T with a bachelor’s in engineering.

Entertainment
The Writers Hall of Fame selected songwriters Randle Chowning and Larry Lee for the annual Quill Award. Chowning and Lee are founding members of the Ozark Mountain Daredevils and also worked in Nashville, Tenn., most recently collaborating on the band Beyond Reach.

Franchises
Little Sunshine’s Playhouse was named to the top 100 franchise list by FranchiseGator.com based on financial stability, growth, transparency, engagement, continuity and sustainability.

Insurance
The Wellness Council of America selected Ollis & Co. Wellness Director Cameron Black to its 2015 Dish Hall of Fame honoring the top 100 U.S. health professionals. Black, who holds a bachelor’s in exercise and sports science from Drury University, has served in the wellness field since 2004.

Nonprofit
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks hired Marissa LeClaire Weaver as executive vice president. A longtime volunteer, Weaver previously work with leadership programs in Missouri State University’s Office of Student Engagement. The organization also added board members Darcie Ray, Greg Higdon, Stephanie Fletcher and Dr. Aimee LaBrie, and named its executive committee: David Coble, president; Marshall Kinne, president-elect; Dan Derges, vice president; Thomas Lane, secretary; Kristen Bright, treasurer; and Gary Gibson, past-president.

The James River Basin Partnership was awarded $2,300 from St. James Winery to support the nonprofit’s river clean-up efforts. JRBP received a portion of the proceeds from wine sales in September and October.

Sales
U.S. Cellular named Preston Roets business sales executive for its southern Missouri region. Roets has worked for the company eight years.

Sports
Lonnie Thornton, Keith Patterson, Charlie Aiken, Melissa Reese and Seth Dye were recognized for their contributions to Special Olympics Missouri. Thornton was named Outstanding Athlete, and Patterson received the Outstanding Coach Award after 10 years of coaching. For their support and participation with SOMO, Aiken was named Outstanding Volunteer, and mother and son Reese and Dye were honored as the Outstanding Family.

Transportation
The Springfield Area Motor Carrier Club named Joe Magee of Transland Inc. as chairman. Magee has 30 years of experience, including management of a family trucking operation and with Transland the last three years.

City Utilities Transit selected Larry Grube as 2014 Driver of the Year. Grube, who was chosen by his co-workers, has six years of transit driving experience.
