Banking Kristy Chastain joined Metropolitan National Bank as vice president and commercial loan officer at the Glenstone Avenue branch. Chastain, who holds a bachelor’s in mathematics from Missouri State University, has 12 years of financial industry experience.

Education Ozarks Technical Community College students and an alumnus were honored by the Missouri Community College Association at an annual ceremony in St. Louis. Paul Sundy received the Distinguished Alumni Award for his entrepreneurial efforts since 2003 to help open 16 eating and drinking establishments, including Big Whiskey’s, Parlor 88 and Dublin’s Pass. Students Danyal Loftin, Corey Coffman and Kara Woody received student leadership awards. Loftin, who is in OTC’s physical therapy assistant program, was honored for being elected chairwoman of a statewide organization of physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students; she is the only community college student on the board. Working toward an associate degree in teaching, Coffman serves as treasurer for the school’s Enactus team. Woody is the school’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter president, and she is pursuing early childhood education and associate of arts degrees.
The Chartered Financial Analyst Institute University Recognition Program accepted Missouri State University as a member based on the practices of MSU’s finance and general business department, which assists students in becoming chartered financial analysts.
Government Lt. Jimmy Liles was selected by Nixa City Council to serve as interim police chief, succeeding James Bacon. Liles has served as a lieutenant nearly three years of his 13-year career with Nixa Police.
Gov. Jay Nixon appointed Sara Lampe, of Springfield, to the Missouri Commission on Human Rights, which investigates cases of housing discrimination. Lampe, a former state representative who worked for Springfield Public Schools nearly 40 years, is scheduled to serve the commission through April 1, 2017.
Hospitality Rhonda Green was promoted to assistant director of sales for the Branson Convention Center, Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel and Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. Green, who has 15 years of hospitality experience, joined the Hiltons of Branson sales team in 2011.
