Banking and Finance
Central Trust & Investment Co. hired Certified Financial Planner Andy Drennen as an investment  officer and portfolio manager in Springfield. Drennen, a former co-owner of Gelato Mio dessert shop, works with clients to customize investment plans.

Janszen Ringo joined Empire Bank as a vice president and commercial loan officer. Ringo has 10 years of banking and lending experience, including a stint at BancorpSouth, and holds a bachelor’s in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University.

Connell Insurance added five employees: Chaunee Shaw as employee benefits account manager; Kaitlyn Kapraun as employee benefits account manager assistant; Monique Lynn and Marco Quilimaco as commercial account managers; and Misty Manes as a family lines account manager.

Education
Evangel University’s Enactus team received a $1,500 Sam’s Club grant through its Step Up for Small Business Partnership to support business-development projects. The funds are helping U-Link LLC develop and implement a marketing plan.

Government
The national Library Journal named Tysha Shay, reference department manager at the Library Station, a 2015 Mover and Shaker in the library industry. She was selected as one of 50 individuals in the March issue based on efforts to expand and update library services.

Nonprofit
The Watershed Committee of the Ozarks appointed three board members with terms that run through December 2017: Eric Dove of Olsson Associates Inc., Laura Greene of Husch Blackwell LLP and Megan McKenna of Associated Electric Cooperative Inc.

The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce honored eight individuals and businesses with awards at its annual black-tie gala: Rick Castillon with Branson Wedding Affiliation received the Jim Langham Ambassador Award; the Care for Kids Award went to The Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks; Community Spirit Award was given to Bill Jones, president of Branson Bank; and the Beautification Award went to John Morris and C & F Masonry for their work on the Top of the Rock golf course. Connell Insurance received the Ambassador Award; the Pioneer Award went to Pam Druffel, vice president of Ozark Mountain Bank; and Jim Lawson, board chairman of the Salvation Army, received the Mary Award. The inaugural Taney County Partnership Economic Impact Award was presented to the 2014 Big Cedar Lodge Legends of Golf Tournament.[[In-content Ad]]
