Banking and Finance
Old Missouri Bank promoted Billy Claiborn to senior vice president and senior agriculture lender. With 35 years of agricultural lending experience, Claiborn has a bachelor’s in agricultural business from Central Missouri State University.

Pulaski Bank Home Lending hired Rick Craine and Beth Yount as senior loan officers. Craine has worked in mortgage lending for three decades, and Yount has 20 years of banking experience.

Construction
The Concrete Lifter hired Keith Rudner as an estimator. Rudner has prior experience as a project estimator.

Education
The Foundation for Springfield Public Schools awarded five teachers with the Turner Reading Award: Bethany Hubbell of Jefferies Elementary, Diane Courtney of Robberson Community School, Holly Roesener of Sunshine Elementary, Katie Scholz of Jarrett Middle School, and Nancy Hall of Bissett Elementary.

Government
Gov. Jay Nixon appointed Sara Ann Childers, of Ozark, as the Christian County Eastern District Commissioner. An attorney with Childers Law Firm, she taught nearly two decades in the Ozark school district and holds a bachelor’s from Drury University and a master’s from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The Greene County Commission appointed Tina Phillips as the county’s deputy budget officer. Phillips served two years in the Greene County Sherriff’s Office as financial coordinator and has 22 years of accounting, budgeting and management experience.

Health Care
Truven Health Analytics named Mercy Hospital Springfield one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals, recognizing organizational performance across such analytic measures as patient care, operational efficiency and financial stability. Mercy scored in the top 10 percent in the country for lowest complications rate.

Cox Medical Center South was designated as a Level I Stroke Center by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services’ Bureau of Hospital Standards. Cox South is one of 10 Level I Stroke Centers in the state and the only center in southwest Missouri.

Insurance
Safeco Insurance recognized Akers & Arney in Branson with a Safeco Premier Partner Award for performance and partnership. The award is presented to 10 percent of independent insurance agencies nationwide that sell Safeco personal lines.

PJC Insurance Agency LLC was named to the Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Co. 2015 President’s Club of its top 50 agencies.

Marketing
DL Media Inc. received seven gold awards, eight silvers and a judges’ choice from the American Advertising Federation of the Ozarks. Company owner Dianne Davis was honored with The President’s Award for her contributions to the AAF. Gold awards were earned for HappyChefCatering.com and DrugFreeva.org, an in-house promotional item and holiday card, the Pill Fish Poster, a public service announcement and integrated campaign for DrugFreeva.[[In-content Ad]]
