joined Springfield Workshop Inc. as an accounting assistant. She has 20 years of accounting experience and holds a bachelor’s in accounting from Everest College.

Architecture
Ash Clark
of Esterly, Schneider & Associates Inc. received his state license to practice as an architect in Missouri. He has worked as a project manager with the firm for over two years.

Brandon Lotter of Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. earned his state license to practice as an architect in Missouri. Lotter is a Drury University graduate with a master’s in architecture.

Banking and Finance
Guaranty Bank hired Ryan Kelly as its marketing research and sales support analyst. With five years of banking experience, Kelly holds a bachelor’s in finance and an MBA from Missouri State University.

Rachael Godden was promoted to assistant vice president and banking center manager for Guaranty Bank’s Glenstone and Kearney banking centers. She has 16 years of banking experience.

UMB Bank hired Alan Perryman as vice president of commercial banking and Matthew Keeth as vice president and senior portfolio manager. With 12 years of financial experience, Perryman provides credit and treasury-management services to businesses while managing the bank’s commercial real estate and health care portfolios. Keeth brings nine years of experience to his management of commercial loans and new business development.

Justin Butler was promoted to senior vice president and market leader for UMB Bank’s greater Missouri south region. With eight years of experience, he is managing client portfolios and leading regional business development.

Education
Michael Buono
, emeritus professor and former director of Drury’s Hammons School of Architecture, was elected to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows. He is only the third AIA member elected from southwest Missouri.

Rebecca Miller, an associate professor at Drury, was selected to lead the school’s arts administration program. She’s been on Drury’s faculty since 2003.

Springfield Public Schools named four principals, effective July 1: Dana Powers at Carver Middle School; Becky Ash at Pipkin Middle School; Josh Groves at Pleasant View K-8 School; and Lisa Anderson at Central High School, where she is interim principal.

Patricia McEachern, a Dorothy Jo Barker endowed professor for the study of animal rights at Drury, was invited as a permanent fellow with the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics in England. She also was invited to teach in Oxford University’s summer school.

Drury assistant professor Natalie Wlodarczyk was elected to serve a five-year term on the board of directors of the Certification Board for Music Therapists. The organization issues national credentials for music therapy.

Government
Gov. Jay Nixon nominated Springfieldians Nancy Hoeman, Rhonda Mammen, Jill Patterson, Linda Thomas and Donna Washburn to the Child Abuse and Neglect Review Board. Hoeman is nurse coordinator for the Springfield-Greene County Health Department since 2007; Mammen is director of school counseling services for SPS since 2005; Patterson is the Title IX coordinator for MSU and an elected member of the SPS  board; Thomas is a practicing attorney since 1978, with an emphasis in family law, juvenile law and probate; and Washburn is a licensed clinical social worker and chairwoman of the behavioral and social sciences department at Evangel University.

Chet Hunter, director of the Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management, was elected president of the Missouri Emergency Management Association. He is serving a two-year term.

Jason Ray, a community and regional planner for MSU’s Southwest Missouri Council of Governments, was elected chairman of the Springfield Planning & Zoning Commission, and Randy Doennig of Meridian Title Co. was elected vice-chairman.

Ray has served on the planning commission for six years and Doennig the last two years.

U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., received the Spirit of Enterprise Award from the Columbia Chamber of Commerce for supporting small businesses and fostering stronger economic growth and job creation in Congress.

Health Care
The Cox Family Medicine Residency program added nine resident physicians to its class of 2019: Jennifer Bulcock, University of Kansas-Kansas City; Matthew Dalke, University of Arkansas-Little Rock; Whitney Davis, Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences; Alyssa Easter, University of Missouri; Jenny Eichhorn, University of Missouri-Kansas City; Cliff Ganus, St. George’s University; Evan Johnson, University of Arkansas-Little Rock; John Long, University of Kansas-Salina; and Lukas Mathews, Ross University.
